In two days Whitney and Lexi will start school leaving Heidi and me alone together. I know she’ll miss her sisters when they're at school, so I plan on snuggling and loving her up until she rolls her eyes and is all.Ugh, mom enough, and no, don’t ask me if I want to start breastfeeding again. ...Continue Reading »

Whitney starts kindergarten next week, and in preparation for the big day the kindergartners practiced riding the bus, with a parent, to and from school. So yesterday morning, Whitney and I climbed on the bus and road to her new school where we met her teachers, but more importantly for Whitney, she got to fill her cubby with school supplies. Her own little piece of real estate. I think I’ll start telling people my four year old successfully orchestrated a cubby acquisition. ...Continue Reading »

You remember my very important friend Jamie? My friend who does really gracious things like share his 30% off Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Banana Republic Factory Store and Gap Outlet coupons with us? Yes, THAT Jamie! How could you have forgotten?

Anyway, Jamie works at Gap Inc. doing God’s work, people. Lifting and squeezing the tushies of women across this great land of ours. He’s a soldier of fashion, fighting the good fight against mom-jeans and camel-toe. Speaking of camels... ...Continue Reading »

Lexi just got back from Dallas where she spent a week and a half with her Opa and Oma. If you have someone who’s offering to take your preteen for an extended period of time, I highly encourage you to take them up on that offer. As in, drop whatever, whoever it is you're doing and pack a suitcase stat! You don't want to miss the window on that kind of offer! ...Continue Reading »

Several weeks ago, Ben and I attended a conference for web developers, even though I’m not a web developer myself. I'm a web designer, yes, but not a developer. They may sound similar but they’re not, and confusing those two roles would be like asking the hospital janitor [the one mopping your insides off the birthing room floor] whether, or not, your newborn is taking enough areola into her mouth when she latches on. Wrong man for the job, and trust me here people, that was one awkward conversation! ...Continue Reading »

I thought you might be wondering what my work space looks like. Or not. Either way, I’m shoving it down your throat. Kind of like how the local radio stations keep insisting on playing that Katy Perry song. And yes, I know there are viable alternatives to the radio, however those alternatives would require someone like myself to keep track of her iPod. ...Continue Reading »

When we redesigned BuenoBaby earlier this spring, I had every intention to gather up all The Mastheads into one special place, which they could call their own. A place where they could stretch-out, scratch and watch the game. Sure, they may not share the same duties, and fulfill the same obligations, as their siblings, The Blog Posts, but that doesn’t mean I love them any less. Mastheads, you know I love you, even if I don’t say it enough.

So since this month marks BuenoBaby’s one year anniversary, I thought it would be a good time to set aside a place just for them. Mastheads, welcome to your new space. Don’t say I never gave you anything.

[This now concludes the personification of my blog site and its elements. And you thought I was annoying BEFORE!]

The Mastheads.

I will never, ever be able to hear this song again without replaying this video in my head.

You're welcome.

I know, I can't tell if they're ugly or not either... ...Continue Reading »
