I think we call it "unseemly" here

In my never ending quest to gather the fragmented pieces of my life, [...seriously, please someone, tell me why there’s a Barbie leg in my purse?] I’ve been working toward organizing my photo archives. It’s a work in progress and I’ve had some set-backs, but I figure if BP can take it’s own sweet, damn time getting it’s shit together, then why not me too?

So, while I was armpit deep in my organizing, I came across this photo. Totally had forgotten about it. And if my eyes aren’t playing tricks on me, I’d say it’s a photo of a baby on the boob. Are you seeing it? Come on guys don’t leave me hanging here!

I took this photo, [and made Ben circle around the block seven times until we hit a red light so that I could snap the shot] because I’m fascinated by its visual message. Here I am, an American, feeling all progressive and what not, and here is this billboard, for all of Mexico to see, of a baby breastfeeding.

On the other hand, you’ve got Better Homes and Gardens publishing snarky remarks about women breastfeeding in restaurants, right here in the US of A. Wuz up ya'll? I mean were talking about women breastfeeding their babies right? Or do restaurants have a problem with women sticking their boobs in other diners' faces?

No wait, I'm thinking of Hooters.

You know what? They should totally make one of those privacy nursing slings in a Hooters' owl print!
