My name is Meredith [Wanner] Groenevelt. I began writing this blog in Merida, Mexico where my husband and I, and our three daughters, moved after going belly-up working in the real estate industry for the past 11 years.

This blog began as a way to document our adventure in Mexico, however I found it quickly degenerated into a memoir of awkward situations and embarrassing moments. All gathered here, in one place, for your mocking pleasure.

I'm not a real writer, but play one on the Internet. Originally, I was a graphic designer and worked at an apparel company, and then a small ad agency, before falling face-first into real estate.

These days, I design websites for web developers in my pajamas. On some of those days, I brush my teeth and take out my ponytail. Those are special days.

This is my high school sweet-heart and husband, Ben. He built this site and edits my posts. He also makes me cocktails. Ladies, he’s my soulmate.

These are our three girls: Whitney [4] Lexi [12] and Heidi [2].
