Lexi turned twelve yesterday. And you know what that means...I must have had her when I was nine.

In other big news...my brother Jordan and his wife Lisa welcomed their new little girl, Mia, this week. Unfortunately they couldn't join us for Lexi's birthday festivities. I guess they were "busy" at the hospital and Lisa wasn't "up for" getting out of bed after pushing out an eight pound, ten ounce baby.

[Also, also...I've found the dessert I'd like served at my wake...Whole Food's Atomic cake. It's a chocolate, vanilla, banana layered cake with raspberry, banana and angel tear filling. Lord have mercy. It's the cake Lexi wanted for her birthday. We aren't big cake people in our house except when it comes time for a birthday cake. There's no screwing around with our birthday cakes. And this cake? This cake is taking names and kicking ass.]
