We were all up earlier than...well, you'd just hate me if I told you the last time we were up early enough to watch the 'Wake-Up' news. What can I say? Our kids don't wake-up before 8 a.m. And I realize mentioning this is a little like skinny people complaining that they can't keep the weight on and don't workout, and they eat whatever it is their little hearts desire. So yes, my kids are good sleepers. However, I can't consumer dubious quantities of bacon-peanut butter-cheese sandwiches dipped in thousand island dressing. Not that I'd want to; I'm just saying that if you're one of those people who are burdened with drinking chocolate milk shakes, I'd appreciate it if you'd keep your lips closed around your straws and leave me to binge on my carrot sticks in peace!
So, we woke early this morning because today marks the first day of school for Whitney and Lexi. Here's Lexi tolerating her first day of school photo. Luckily, Ben shot on a high ISO setting so you don't notice the eye rolling.

Then Ben shot us looking at something in the sky. Girls grab your right ears!
Here, it appears, Ben was trying to take an upshot under my skirt. Pretty tricky Ben, but I'm wearing my old maternity underwear so the jokes on you! Even though there's nothing funny about an old pair of maternity undies.
Finally the bus came. Lexi held Whitney's hand. I always wanted a big sister like Lexi. Although, my little brother taught me to make farting noises with my armpits. Life's a give and take.
Late morning, Whitney rode the school bus home by herself. So far so good; she loved her first day of kindergarten...they served chocolate milk for snack and if they know what's good for them, they'll keep the flavored milk 'a-flowin'!

We were thinking about the Groenie clan today, I can't imagine what that day will be like to watch your beautiful baby climb aboard a seat-belt less bus, driven by a potentially drunken ex-con predator, to a giant building where, let's face it, there are so many kids who could keep "exact" count.
But I'm just scratching the surface of worries, I'm sure. I'm already obsessing and worrying, this is my way of inviting you to my warm psychotic hell.
Love, uncle Chewy :-)
Congratulations to all! Especially love that last shot.
