Last night Ben picked up the camera and messed around with the Nikon Speedlight SB-600 we recently purchased.
Up until now we've pretty much stuck with the default settings; unless you count adjusting the flash's angle. Even then, we mostly keep it pointed straight-up [with the diffuser shade pulled over the bulb]. In this position, the light bounces off the ceiling and showers down over the subject, as it does in this photo.
Ben changed the exposure setting, on the flash, from it's default to a negative two point zero. Me likey.
