Last week ended on a tense note, so Ben and I snuck out for a quick drink and a few moments alone on Saturday night. We deserved this time together. Actually, if we’re going to be fair about it, we deserved a trip to Europe but I’m grateful for anytime alone.
We didn’t go anywhere fancy. Still, I wanted to take it up a notch so I wore this necklace, which had belonged to my Granny Bea.

I don’t know where she got it from, or if it’s vintage, and I really don’t care. I like its awesomeness. Plus, it acted like cover-up and disguised the breakouts on my chest, and I’ve got to give any accessory its props which does more than just lie there and look shiny. Unless, of course, it’s a square cut, diamond solitaire ring. In that case, it could just sit on my finger and look down its nose at the other accessories.
Sorry, but it’s a caste system in my closet.
