There’s a tree in our front yard, which drops these sword-encrusted balls from its branches. I’m told they’re chestnuts. I think they’re Mother Nature’s angry fists.
Apparently, Mother Nature encased these nuts in armor to prevent squirrels and other vermin from getting into their inner tasty nut treats. This absolutely makes no sense to me. If Mother Nature were concerned about the consumption of delicious snacks she'd have wrapped Twinkies inside of bear traps.
