We're in Chicago this week attending a web development conference. I'd planned on napping and shopping while Ben sat in lecture halls, stuffing his brain full of website, geek stuff. However, luckily, he scored me a free ticket. LUCKILY! Now I can join him in a marathon of Power Point presentations. Otherwise, I would have been stuck shoe shopping at Nordstroms all day. Phew! That was a close call!
Anyway, last night we stayed with friends north of the city and then cabbed it downtown this morning. On the drive down, I was busy taking photos and hadn't noticed when we'd reached the city, until the first honk. If I could describe Chicago in one word it would be BEEEEEEP. The first horn blow this morning came from the car stopped behind us at a light; its driver leaning his full body weight onto the horn as a means of urging our driver to plow into a group of school children. Can you believe that? Some people can be real ass-BEEEEEP-oles. You know wha-BEEEEEEP I mean, right?
You're not having troubling hear-BEEEEEEEP-ing me, are you?

Chicago is one of my favorite cities. I prefer it even to New York
Me too and we're lucky to live only couple hours away.
We used to live in Chicago. Great town. Supposed to go in August. Powerpoint presentations don't sound all that fun but at least you were able to get away. We're off to Florida in a few days. Can't wait for the sun.
Ah, palm tress! Have a great time. My mom's family is from FL. Miami area. Love it!
