Rescuing a favorite photo

We spent yesterday either in the baby-pool, in the lake or standing in front of the fan and all the while Ben and I took photos. And unbeknown to us, all the while the ISO setting was maxed-out so all the shots turned out grainy. So in an attempt to salvage my favorite photo from yesterday, I converted it to a black and white to minimize the multi-speckeld effect on the skin tones.

[The photo was too grainy to enlarge any further so I didn't add the lightbox functionality to this image.]

Oops.

I vowed ages ago to learn to get my camera off auto-focus and learn how to shoot like you and other real photographers. After months of trying, I thought I'd finally got the hang of aperture and shutter speed but my photos still looked kinda like shit. I sent a question to another online photographer and realized I'm a complete fucking idiot: I'd been adjusting aperture and shutter speed but never touched the ISO. Months and months of photos all shot on some funky ISO setting. I'm back to using my iPhone.
Anyway, LOVE that photo and think it actually works really well with the grainy effect. But what do I know? Clearly nothing!

Thanks, and for the record I contend my abs would totally look like hers if I hadn't had her. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
