When it wasn't too hot, we'd slip on our flip flops and walk down to Merida's Centro plaza on Sunday afternoons. Usually, the plaza was full of tourists [the nerve] however, on Sundays the locals would come down and fill the outdoor cafés and watch the street performers.

The heat…the noise…the chaos were unbelievable. It was awesome.

That place WAS awesome! But holy moly it WAS H.O.T. Hot! And eating hot fried food seemed to be quite popular, didn't it! :D
