Since we don’t have air conditioning this summer, we’ve been letting Whitney and Heidi run around in their underwear most of the time. Is that trashy? No, I don’t think so. Not if you compare it to nap-time when I crack open a can of Old Milwaukee and work on the car that’s propped-up on cinder blocks in the front yard.
And because it’s coded in a child’s DNA to want whatever it is their parents won’t do for them, the girls wake up every morning and try to get dressed themselves. So this morning Heidi waddled out of her room with a blanket wrapped around her waist like a towel. A move, I believe, which points to Ben and I investing in some bathrobes for ourselves. The girls are now mimicking our post-shower attire! They’re onto us!
Doesn’t this ‘look’ have, ‘My attorney will be handling all future photo releases. What kind of royalties is your blog currently yielding?’ Um, certainly not enough to buy you a robe.

And then see? Our little never-nude [man, I miss Arrested Development] is happy again and ready to sign away her photo rights!

You're too kind, thanks!
My kids live in their swimsuits. It's a LITTLE less trashy than undies, but not much. Yesterday, my daughter wore her suit all day and when we had to do an errand, she put on a nightgown as a cover-up (while wearing 2 inch sandal heels). That? Is a touch trashy...
You know what would have made that outfit even better? Face glitter.
